Columbia man allegedly shot in leg while driving

The Moberly Police Department said a Columbia man was allegedly shot while driving his car.

It happened early Saturday morning, around 2 a.m., on Fisk Avenue in Moberly.

Police said a 29-year-old Columbia man was driving his car on that street. He told police he was shot through the driver’s side door and the bullet penetrated his leg.

The victim was taken to University Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released.

He was unable to provide a suspect description to police.
