Man injured in boat accident at Lake of the Ozarks

A boating accident has left a Camdenton man with serious injuries.

Troopers say it happened Thursday night at Lake of the Ozarks in the Big Niangua arm.

Investigators say Fred Hunnius, 72, made a sharp turn and was throw from his 2010 YAMAHA and was then hit by a second boat.

Hunnius was taken to the Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with serious injuries.

Troopers are out in full force on Missouri waterways for the holiday weekend, stressing safety.
