Two Sedalia residents arrested for meth near a middle school

Two Sedalia residents were arrested Saturday after the Sedalia Police Department, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol found a large amount of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia while serving a search warrant.

The home is located in the 900 block of Kentucky Avenue, just down the street from the Smith Cotton Junior High School.

In addition to meth, police said they found marijuana, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and evidence that 40-year-old Paula Allen was distributing meth and marijuana from the home.

Allen is facing first degree drug trafficking charges, distribution of a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school and five felony counts of possession.

The other resident arrested, 45-year-old Ernest Motley, is facing three possession charges.

Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.
