Man arrested after woman kidnapped, held hostage in Mid-Missouri

A Mid-Missouri man is charged after he allegedly kidnapped and held a woman hostage in Miller County.

On Wednesday the sheriff’s department got a 911 call about a woman who was being held near Buechter Bridge Road in St. Anthony, just north of Iberia, about 30 minutes east of Osage Beach.

The suspect was described as Mitchell Herx of Iberia. He was found and arrested after several hours of searching.

The woman only suffered minor injuries. Herx went to jail with no bond on charges of second-degree domestic assault and felony kidnapping.
