Miller Co. deputy released from hospital

Miller County deputy Tom McClelland was discharged from a hospital Wednesday.

Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott told ABC 17 News the deputy and his mother were at the Sheriff’s Department for a few hours Thursday. Abbott said McClelland is on leave and will be in rehabilitation and therapy for awhile.

McClelland was on duty serving a search warrant in the Eldon area on May 16, when he collapsed to the ground.

Deputies found McClelland was not breathing and had no pulse when he
collapsed. McClelland was hospitalized from May 16 until June 11.
