Shots fired, man hurt during robbery in north Columbia

Police are looking for two suspects after a gun went off during a robbery attempt in north Columbia early Wednesday.

Officers say two men approached another man in the parking lot of a complex in the 2900 block of Northland Drive near Blue Ridge Road and Rangeline around 1:30 a.m. Two shots were fired during a struggle, and one of them hit the victim in the head with a pistol.

The man was able to escape and go to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects left in two separate vehicles.
