Police still looking for Jefferson City man

Jefferson City police are continuing to search for a missing man, and are asking for help from the public.

Investigators said 23-year-old Christopher Cray was last seen May 20th. He might have been in the area of Schnucks on Missouri Boulevard.

He was driving a white Ford Crown Victoria in the Belle area of Maries County and might have been with several other people. Police found his car a few days later, but at this point they still don’t know his whereabouts.

Captain Shoemaker of the Jefferson City Police told ABC 17 News detectives are investigating this as “suspicious circumstances”, adding that police do not believe Cray ran off.

Family members told Jefferson City Police that he always kept in contact with them and since his disappearance he has missed his birthday and the birth of his child.

Shoemaker encourages anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (573) 659-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers has put out a $500 reward for information leading to his location.
