Bruins baseball goes to title game, Cairo takes second
Rock Bridge baseball advances to the state final for the first time in program history. The Bruins were backed by junior Logan Twehous’ three-hitter. After participating in an high-profile quarterback camp in Ohio, Twehou, Rock Bridge football’s starting quarterback, drove back earlier in the week to return to baseball practice. His arm held up enough to drive the Bruins to a 2-0 lead over Nebraska baseball commit Reece Eddins and Blue Springs South.
In the Class 1 state championship game, Northeast Cairo fell short of a state title. The Bearcats lost to Cooter, 1-0, but became the first ever boys program in school history to take second at state.
