I-70 down to one lane in Callaway Co. Wednesday night

MoDOT issued a media advisory Tuesday announcing that emergency shoulder repairs and a culvert pipe replacement will close one lane of I-70 Wednesday night.

Crews will be working on the shoulder at mile marker 146 near Kingdom City from 7:00 p.m. Wednesday to 6:00 a.m. Thursday.

The passing lane will remain open while that work is being done.

MoDOT engineer Randy Lamons told ABC 17 News large amounts of rain in the area this spring caused the ground to erode and the culvert pipe and shoulder to slide.
