Mizzou will face Arkansas on Friday after Thanksgiving

Mizzou football will play Arkansas in front of a national audience on Black Friday this year. The Tigers and Razorbacks will kick off at 1:30 for a network telecast in its final regular season game.

This is the first time the Tigers have played on a non-Saturday on Thanksgiving week since the 1954 season. Missouri played at No. 10 Maryland on a Thursday night. The Tigers lost 74-13. Mizzou’s previous non-Saturday home game on Thanksgiving week was in 1950. Don Faurot’s team beat Kansas 20-6.

The last time Missouri and Arkansas played was in the 2008 Cotton Bowl. Tony Temple rushed for 281 yards and four touchdowns in the Mizzou win.

The regular season finale will be Arkansas’ first trip to Columbia since the 1906 season. Mizzou shutout Arkansas 11-0 on November 10, 1906, according to Sports-Reference.com.
