Tracking a summer-like end to the week

FRIDAY: Sunshine’s here to stay to close out the week. A few passing clouds will roll through this afternoon, but not enough to keep us out of the middle 80’s.

TONIGHT: Staying mostly clear tonight with lows settling down in the middle 60’s.

EXTENDED: It’ll be another sun-splashed afternoon to kick off the weekend tomorrow. Highs will stretch into the upper 80’s. Sunday an upper-level system will start to approach from the Oklahoma-Texas area. That will bring the threat of storms back by the afternoon, but we’re not expecting a wash out. In fact, the coverage is still looking fairly isolated with highs in the middle 80’s. Rounds of showers and storms looks like a better bet into the work week itself. These look like they’ll favor the afternoon and evening timeframe, but will be a staple of next week. With daily shots at storms, highs will be pretty capped in the low to mid 80’s.
