FBI releases description of Pilot Grove bank robbery suspect

PILOT GROVE, Mo, (KMIZ).

The Cooper County Sheriff's Office confirmed it was helping investigate a bank robbery at Alliant Bank in Pilot Grove.

The sheriff's office is assisting Pilot Grove police with the investigation. At least two sheriff's office patrol cars and one police car responded to the scene.

The FBI has released new information on the Alliant Bank robbery suspect in Cooper County.

Officals report the robbery happened at 10:10 a.m.

The suspect is described as wearing a navy and white ballcap with emblem and burgundy bill with sunglasses and a light colored facemask.

He was seen wearing a burgundy button up style shirt/jacket with black hoodie underneath and dark pants and shoes.

The suspect showed a handgun.

The FBI reports no injuries during the incident.

Officials say the suspect ran from the bank on foot headed in a northwest direction.

Suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of currency in a blue tote bag.
