Deputies identify teenager killed in Boone County crash
BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Boone County Sheriff's Office identified the driver killed in a crash over the weekend.
Deputies said Gabyrel W. Hopper, 16, of Columbia died in the wreck on Vemers Ford Road.
According to deputies, Hopper was traveling westbound on Vemers Ford Road near Rangeline Road on Sunday around 5:34 pm when he ran off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned.
A 14-year-old passenger was taken from the scene by an ambulance but was determined to not have any injuries.
Neither passenger was wearing a seat belt.
