Jefferson City punches a ticket to the final four

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Jays are final four bound for the sixth time in program history, following a shutout win over Republic on Saturday afternoon.

Jays' pitcher Jacob Roettgen shut down the Tigers offense with more than ten strikeouts in the outing. Jefferson City's one and only run came in the seventh inning, as Wyatt Fischer drove one in with a shot to left.

Up next - Jeff City will meet Fort Zumwalt West in the semifinals in Ozark, Missouri. Game time is at 6:30 P.M. on June 4.
