Shots fired into home west of Columbia

A bullet went through a window on a home on Ludwick Boulevard late Saturday night just outside Columbia.

According to a news release, witnesses reported several shots fired toward the home. Ludwick Boulevard is just west of Scott Boulevard and north of Chapel Hill Road.

No one reported injuries, including the woman and her boyfriend inside the home where the bullets landed.

Investigators reported finding evidence of multiple shots fired.

Deputies at the scene told ABC 17 News said the woman reported seeing black Chevy Tahoe drive away from the scene.

Interviews with neighbors and possible witnesses were still underway at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Neighbors told ABC 17 News they heard multiple gunshots from what sounded like two different guns.

“I heard four little shots and then four louder shots,” next-door-neighbor Alzina Foscato said. “I wondered ‘did that really just happen?'”

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call the Boone County Sheriffs Department or to leave an anonymous tip using CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS.
