Man shot at Columbia gas station

A Columbia man told police late Saturday night he had been shot at a gas station in central city.

The unnamed man had non-life threatening injuries and went to University Hospital, which alerted investigators around 11:50 p.m.

According to a news release, the man told police he had been shot at the Midwest Petroleum convenience store at 126 South Providence Road about an hour earlier.

Columbia police had no released a suspect description Sunday morning, but said the victim knew the suspect.

An investigation continued on Sunday.
