Federal fugitive arrested in Camden Co. for failing to register as sex offender

A federal fugitive was arrested Friday morning in southwest Camden County.

Charlie Duke, 31, was taken into custody at his home in Macks Creek, about 20 minutes west of Camdenton near Highway 54. Duke is wanted on a federal warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.

Camden County investigators worked with the Southwest Missouri Fugitive Task Force to make the arrest.

Duke was taken by U.S. Marshals to a federal detention center in Jefferson City.
