Four hurt in Sunday crash near Rolla

Four people were hurt in an early morning crash just south of Rolla Sunday.

According to Highway Patrol reports, the dour were in a Dodge Stratus on Phelps County Road 5010, three miles south of the city.

Driver Thomas Rector, 33, of Licking, lost control of the car. It went off the road, into a wood post and then hit several trees. He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia and was in good condition Sunday night.

Passenger Christian Thomas, 20, of Eldridge, was thrown from the car. She was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Two other passengers were hurt in the crash. Benjamin Christenson, 39, of Rolla, was flown to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur with serious injuries. Amy Frederich, 25, of Licking, was taken to Phelps County Regional Medical Center.

Highway Patrol reports did not indicate a cause for the crash Sunday.
