Columbia police arrest man for stabbing victim in the back

Police arrested a Columbia man early Friday for an assault with a knife.

Officers say 20-year-old Keenan T. Moore stabbed the victim in the back during a fight.

Police believe Moore and the victim had been drinking in a home in the 100 block of Leslie Lane Thursday night when the pair got into a verbal argument. Moore then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.

Officers arrested Moore at the home on charges of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

The victim underwent surgery and is currently in serious but stable condition.
