Armed robbers escape after Columbia home invasion

Police searched for two armed robbers Thursday afternoon after a home invasion in south Columbia.

Two residents at The Hill apartments off S. Providence Road heard a knock on their door around 10 a.m.

According to police, two men forced their way in with a gun, assaulted the male victim and demanded money. They then ran off with cash

No one was seriously injured.

The suspects are described as two black men, both 5’10” tall.
