Chick-fil-A opening in Jefferson City Thursday

More than 60 people were camped out outside the site of Jefferson City’s newest fast-food restaurant Wednesday.

The new Chick-fil-A location will greet customers early Thursday morning.

As part of its grand-opening, the first 100 people could win free meals for a year. The owner, Tom Van Vroom, says his business on Missouri Bulevard will bring 83 new jobs to Mid-Missouri.

And depending on its success, the company said it could be looking to open more spots. The next closest locations are outside St. Louis and Kansas City.
