Sturgeon man injured after assault with knife
A 24-year-old Sturgeon man is in the hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted with a knife Sunday morning.
Columbia police officers were dispatched to 1101 E. Broadway at 1:36 Sunday morning for a disturbance involving several males.
When officers got to the scene, they saw a white vehicle possibly involved in the disturbance leaving the area.
Officers located the car at Broadway and Providence Road. They found the victim inside the car with a serious injury.
He was transported to a local hospital.
