Cardinal Caravan stopping in Jefferson City

The St. Louis Cardinal Caravan will stop in Jefferson City Friday, giving fans a chance to see and talk with current and former players. The event will be at the Missouri Farm Bureau Center at 701 South Country Club Drive starting at 4:30. The program will begin at 6 p.m., followed by autographs for those with Caravan autograph tickets.

The first 500 kids ages 15 and under will get autograph tickets guaranteeing one autograph from each current and former player with the Caravan. Current players include Michael Wacha, Tyler Lyons, Jermaine Curtis and Stephen Piscotty. Former players include Alan Benes and John Costello. Fredbird and Cardinals announcer John Rooney will be with the Caravan to emcee the event as well.

There will be food and beverages available at the event, with each item selling for $1. Proceeds from the concession sales will go to the March of Dimes. Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance and the Cardinals have worked together for several years to raise money for the March of Dimes.
