Columbia man arrested after five mile car chase

A five mile chase in a stolen truck lands a Columbia man behind bars Friday morning, and sent one woman to the hospital.

Deputies said Zachary Bullard took off from a scene on Ketterer Road just north of Columbia, and kept driving up Route B before turning onto Mount Zion Church Road.

That is when deputies said Bullard left the truck and ran as it continued to roll. The woman in the passenger side could not get out in time and got pinned between the truck and a tree.

Deputies said the truck was stolen, and Bullard was arrested on a slew of charges ranging from drug possession to driving drunk.

He also had an active warrant.
