Season In Review: 2013 Missouri football
From Henry Josey’s first touchdown in 659 days to the raising of the Cotton Bowl trophy, ABC 17’s Austin Kim recaps the historic 2013 Missouri Football Season.
After a disappointing 2012, there were many question marks surrounding this year’s team. Gary Pinkel’s job security was in question, Henry Josey’s knee was coming off major surgery and the offensive line came off a number of injuries. The Tigers put those questions to rest, securing a season full of many highs and few lows.
The Tigers have also set the bar high on the 2014 season. Missouri should feel comfortable at quarterback at least. Maty Mauk relieved the injured James Franklin in the middle of the year and showed glimpses of stardom. The offense will have a fair amount of returners, including Dorial Green-Beckham and Evan Boehm. Meanwhile, the defense will have to fill the production of Michael Sam and Kony Ealy. But the Tigers will have Markus Golden, Braylon Webb, Kentrell Brothers among others to maintain the defensive success.
