Cold temperatures could be deadly for pets

Jefferson City police are warning pet owners about the dangers of cold temperatures.

Residents are advised to be mindful of their pets and to keep them indoors during these extremely cold temperatures.

If they are left outdoors an extended period of time, it could be deadly.

Police also encourage residents to be aware of animals left out in the cold conditions and to report problems to the Jefferson City police department non-emergency line at 573-634-6400.
