Police investigate attempted armed robbery
Two Columbia teens told police they were mugged and pistol-whipped near an elementary school late Friday night.
It happened near Parkade Park just before 2 a.m.
The 17 year-old told police two suspects tried to rob them. When the suspects realized they were teenagers and did not have money, they hit them with their guns and possibly fired shots as the teens ran away.
As of Saturday evening police are still looking into what exactly happened.
