Tracking rounds of rain and storms this weekend into next week
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers before sunrise. Lows in the mid-50s.
TOMORROW: Rain likely early, becoming light and more scattered by late afternoon. Highs in the mid-60s. Showers and a few thunderstorms return late Saturday night with the axis of steady rainfall along and south of I-70.
EXTENDED: Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered on Sunday and ramp up again for Sunday night into Monday. No severe weather is expected with a lack of ingredients in place. Just about every day will feature a chance for rain and/or storms as each round will leave a remnant boundary for another round of precipitation to develop. The upper level pattern will be supportive of daily rain chances and warmer temperatures each day into next week. Severe weather chances look slim, but if we have any type of support it would be late next week. Highs by next Friday reach 80 degrees with consistent nights in the 60s. Minor river flooding especially on smaller rivers and tributaries will be possible, but the River Forecast Center has not issued any guidance as of now. Rain amounts for the combined week will be in the 2-3" ballpark.
