Man accused of robbing Dollar General in Columbia

Columbia police arrested an armed robber Tuesday after he allegedly got away with cash from a Dollar General Monday afternoon.

Officers said they found a blue puffy coat and pellet gun used by 47-year-old Kenneth Malone.

Police were called to 3700 Monterey Drive around 4:10 p.m. Monday after a man with a pistol walked in and demanded money.

The store is located just off Nifong Boulevard and Providence Road.
