Man shot near Boone County business

One man has been released from the hospital after he was shot early Saturday morning north of Columbia.

According to a news release, Boone County deputies responded to a report of gunshots near a business in the 5900 block of Wagon Trail Road, just off Prathersville Road and 763/Rangeline Street.

When investigators got to the scene just before 1:30 a.m., they found one man with a gunshot wound. He was treated and released at a local hospital.

No suspect description had been released Saturday afternoon.

Deputies are still investigating the case.
