Woman accused of trying to burn down home
A Columbia woman was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to burn down her own home.
Firefighters got a call early Thursday morning from Christina Soper at Broadway Apartments near Stadium Boulevard. Crews did not find anything at the scene, but Soper’s oven was turned up to 500-degrees.
Police claim Soper told authorities she had already packed her bags, hoping her apartment would go up in flames. Soper appeared in court on Friday to face one count of attempted arson.
