Moberly makes cheapest homes list

The City of Moberly made the list for the cheapest family homes in the nation.

In a list of 25 cities and towns, Moberly ranked eighth for the price of a 4-bedroom, 2-bathrom home.

The average listing price for a single-family home in the city is $99,593. Moberly was just ahead of Buffalo, New York and behind Jonesboro, Ga.

Kansas City, Mo. and Aurora, Mo. also made the list. Kansas City came in at No. 21 with an average home price of $113,718, while Aurora was ranked No. 25, with an average home price of $117,013.

Cleveland, Ohio topped the list, where a house costs an average of $63,729.

The Yahoo! list used home prices from realty company Coldwell Banker, using six-month sampling period.
