Tracking a sunny start to Cinco de Mayo

gorgeous

WEDNESDAY: Lots of sunshine early, but clouds will return later this afternoon. Temperatures will still make it into the middle 60’s so it’ll be a good day to kick off True/False.

TONIGHT: Those partly cloudy skies stay with us tonight with lows bottoming out in the upper 40’s.

EXTENDED: Rain chances return as a cold front gets closer tomorrow morning. Showers look most likely between 9 AM and 3 PM, with a rumble of thunder possible but nothing severe. Behind the front, Thursday night will be cool again with lows in the low to mid 40’s. We do another good job at bouncing back Friday with highs nearing 70. Showers look to return late Friday night into Saturday and will be off and on throughout the day. Storms look possible Saturday night into early Sunday morning. We’ll be tracking the threat of stronger storms, but we’re not confident we’ll see them at this point. It does look like most of that activity will push south of the area Sunday afternoon, helping salvage the second half of Mother’s Day. Highs both days this weekend will be in the middle 60’s. It’s a little unclear how active we’ll end up being next week, but the threat of rain will be there. Highs will still be a bit below average in the 60’s.
