Columbia police, family searching for missing teenager

The family of a missing Columbia teenager is asking for the public’s help to locate her.

Police say Desiree Marion, 14, has not been seen since 8:40 a.m. Thursday when a family member dropped her off at school.

Officers say Marion left a note saying she was voluntarily leaving home and did not want her family to search for her. The family contacted law enforcement, asking them to spread information about her disappearance.

Columbia police say Marion is approximately 5’6″ tall and weighs 156 lbs. She was last seen wearing a black coat, gray jogging pants and gray boots.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Columbia police 573-875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
