Four Mizzou hopefuls selected in day three of NFL Draft

CLEVELAND, Ohio (KMIZ)

The remaining Mizzou hopefuls all found their new NFL homes in day three of the 2021 NFL Draft, on Saturday.

The Las Vegas Raiders drafted safety Tyree Gillespie with the 143rd pick in round four. Gillespie is the first former MU safety to be drafted since William Moore in 2009.

Offensive lineman Larry Borom went as the 151st overall pick, in the fifth round. The Mizzou alum will join former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields in Chicago with the Bears.

In the sixth round, Mizzou's other safety, Joshuah Bledsoe, got picked up by the New England Patriots, as the 188th overall pick. His selection made it the first draft since 1983 that MU had two secondary players picked.

MU's final draft hopeful, running back Larry Rountree, rounded out the day as the 198th overall pick, going to the Los Angeles Chargers.

After day three concluded, former Mizzou wide receiver Damon Hazelton signed a contract with the Houston Texans.
