Former TSA agent pleads guilty to stealing at Columbia Regional Airport

A former Transportation Security Administration employee has pleaded guilty to stealing at the Columbia Regional Airport.

Back in April, Eric Dunlap, 42, of Jefferson City, was arrested after he was caught stealing a bag full of money as part of an exercised designed to test employees’ integrity.

Instead of turning the bag in to lost-and-found, Dunlap stuffed the bag with money into his coat pocket. When he tried to clock out, he was detained by airport security until police arrived.

On Monday, Dunlap pleaded guilty in Boone County Circuit Court to a felony count of theft/stealing.

Dunlap is scheduled for sentencing on Dec. 23.
