Four arrested after Boone County car chase

Four people were arrested after a car chase through Boone County Monday morning.

The chase began when a Boone County Sheriff’s Department deputy tried to stop a car near Highway 63 and Vandiver Drive. The driver would not pull over and led deputies on a chase.

The pursuit ended when the driver lost control near Ballenger Lane and hit a round-a-bout, causing all four of the car’s tires to deflate.

Deputies say the suspects tried to run away, but they were later captured.

Deputies arrested the driver, 28-year-old Maurice Robinson, and three passengers: 24-year-old Duran Griffith, 22-year-old Dushane Griffith and a juvenile.

Robinson was arrested for the endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, driving while revoked, property damage, careless and imprudent driving, and speeding. His bond was set at $7,000.

Dushane Griffith and Duran Griffith were both arrested for resisting arrest with a bond set at $500 each. The juvenile was detained by the Juvenile Office.
