500 gallons of milk recalled for improper pasteurization
Ozark Mountain Creamery announced Friday it is voluntarily recalling hundreds of gallons of milk because it may have been improperly pasteurized.
Samples of the milk tested positive for high residual phosphatase, meaning the milk could be unpasteurized or improperly pasteurized.
The 500 gallons of skim milk are packaged in half-gallon, glass bottles and marked with the code “10/24.” The milk was bottled on Oct. 7, 2013.
No other dairy products from Mountain Grove-based Ozark Mountain Creamery are affected.
In Mid-Missouri, the milk may have been sold in the following locations:
