PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Pettis County Sheriff's Department investigation leads to two people charged with drug trafficking after money, guns and meth are found.

According to a social media report, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Monday evening on the 2900 block of Oak Ridge Circle. Deputies found two ounces of meth, guns and $20,000.

Continuing the investigation, deputies received another search warrant for Tuesday for a storage shed in Sedalia and another residence south of the city.

Deputies found two pounds of meth at the residence and more money at the storage shed.

Deputies took David and Audrey Bridges into custody.

The duo are each charged with second degree trafficking drugs, unlawful possesion of a firearm and endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs.

Per the social media post, Sheriff Brad Anders says "with the additional meth, this will be bumped to 1st degree trafficking and possession of a firearm by persons prohibited."

Both David and Audrey have a $75,000 cash only bond.

A court date has not been set.
