Police locate stolen vehicle, still asking for help to identify two individuals of interest

According to MUPD, the stolen Nissan Sentra has been located. It was found on a residential street in Columbia.

ORIGINAL:

The University of Missouri Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify two suspects in an alleged carjacking early Saturday morning.

The University of Missouri sent out an alert just after midnight on Saturday after a carjacking involving a gun.

The incident happened in the Hitt Street Parking Garage. According to Twitter, the university says the car involved was a 2014 silver Nissan Sentra with Illinois plates.

A press release from MUPD said the victim was an MU student. The student reported two individuals took the car.

About 40 minutes after the original alert went out, the University sent out an all clear, saying there was no longer a threat to campus. Police are still investigating the situation, according to the tweet.
