Crews finish cleaning up Faurot Field two days after game day
Clean-up crews worked through Sunday afternoon to finish picking up trash and cleaning up Memorial Stadium.
The crews with Can Do Enterprises LLC told ABC 17 News the average turnaround time to clean up after a game is a day and a half.
Russ Hamilton with Can Do Enterprises LLC said it takes about 70 people from local high school sports teams, nonprofits and labor companies in Columbia.
Hamilton said Can Do employees are responsible for maintaining the gates and cleaning up after the tailgates.
The organizations that volunteer are responsible for inside the stadium.
Hamilton said the tailgating lot takes the most time to clean up.
“I think we had a group of eight people, four on the west side, four on the east side that handle and maintain the gates,” he said.
Can Do Enterprises LLC said the city of Columbia picks up the trash collected after each home game.
