Columbia man arrested for July 5th robbery

A 21-year-old Columbia man was arrested Friday in connection to a robbery earlier this month.

Brandin Bell was arrested on Park Avenue after a tip led police to him.

Bell is accused of robbery and armed criminal action after an incident in Field Park July 5. The park is off Range Line Street near Columbia College.

Police told ABC 17 News Saturday the victim was cut during the robbery. Witnesses gave an positive identification of Bell at the scene and again after his arrest.

Bell was being held Saturday without bond in the Boone County Jail.
