2-year-old dies after being hit by an SUV in Holts Summit

A 2-year-old has died from his injuries after being hit by an SUV in Holts Summit Friday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Brennan Reynolds was hit off County Road 385 near Route OO around 6:30 p.m.

Holts Summit fire and medics transported the boy to a landing zone for Staff for Life, just off South Summit Drive. Boone County Medical Examiner Dori Burke pronounced him dead there at 7:25 p.m.

MSHP crash reports list the driver of the Ford Explorer as Mary Foster, 54, also of Holts Summit.
