Columbia police investigate armed robbery

Columbia police are investigating the armed robbery of a gas station Tuesday morning.

Just before 5 a.m. police were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Phillips 66 on West Ash.

Investigators say a man entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.

At the time the suspect was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, jeans and a bandanna over his face.

No one was injured, but so far no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
