Columbia police interview person who took video of downtown shooting

Columbia police said Friday afternoon detectives were still investigating a shooting last weekend in downtown Columbia but that a person who captured video of the incident was not involved.

A citizen sent ABC 17 News video of the shooting near the intersection of 10th Street and Broadway from the early morning hours of Saturday, June 15.

The video shows eight shots being fired, a large crowd scattering and a car passing by. It drew attention due to its quality and the fact the video shooter appeared so calm.

The citizen who shot the video has wanted to remain anonymous and has said he anticipated a fight when he started rolling.
