Man drowns at the Lake of the Ozarks

A Mid-Missouri man died Wednesday at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed Timothy Walter, 33, of Camdenton drowned while working on a dock at the Atlantis Island Condos.

According to officials, Walter was working on a dock when he jumped into into the water around 11:30 a.m. After he did not resurface, emergency crews were called to the scene.

His body was recovered by the Lake of the Ozarks Fire Department dive team around 1 p.m.

Highway Patrol Captain Matt Walz says their investigation into Walter’s death is complete, pending results of an autopsy. Troopers believe there is no indication electricity electrical was involved.
