St. Louis police increasing patrols after violent night

Police are increasing their patrols in St. Louis City after 17 people were shot and one person was stabbed Monday night.

Seventeen people were shot in seven different incidents, mainly in northern St. Louis.

According to affiliate KTVI, four of the shooting victims are teenagers. All of the victims are expected to survive.

In one incident, officers say five people where shot with an AK-47.

Police have no suspects in any of the shooting.

Officers say their main focuses now are guns and what the friends and family of the victims may do in response to the shootings.
