Columbia College celebrates veterans
Columbia College hosted a “Military Recognition” day.
Nearly 25 percent of students are service members, veterans, or dependents of veterans.
One veteran who attended the event, George Osuley said, “Anything we can do to help our veterans is a thing we need to do.”
“It’s unfortunate that so many have given full measure and lost their lives at the present and we shouldn’t forget them,” said veteran Charles E. McGee.
This is the sixth Military Recognition day that Columbia College has hosted and just one of dozens of events schedule for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
