Columbia’s “Pothole Posse” receive more than 100 reports in its first week

In its first week, Columbia’s “Pothole Posse” received over 100 reports of damaged roadways.

The crew is Columbia Public Works’ solution to the potholes in Columbia after three winter storms.

Columbia Public Works spokesman Steven Sapp say the program will build a better relationship between the agency and residents.

“Streets with inside the city limits, certainly, with the exception of state routes, such as I-70, Providence Road and roads that are maintained by the state of Missouri,” said Sapp. “We’ve had over 100 responses so far, just this week so we’re very pleased with that. We’ll continue the program through late spring and early summer.”

To report a pothole, residents can call or submit a form online. Sapp said that crews will be out repairing the road within 24 hours of the filed report.
