Three arrested in Centralia drug bust

Centralia police officers arrested three people for having drugs and guns in their car Monday night. The bust started as a traffic stop on Highway 22.

During the stop, officers said they found 80 grams of marijuana, a loaded nine millimeter handgun and cash in the car.

Those arrested include Jakarr Curtis from Mexico, Rebecca Weingold from Columbia and Treyvon Metts from Columbia.

Curtis, 21, was booked into the Boone County jail for possession of a controlled substance and armed criminal action. He was driving the car at the time of the traffic stop.

Weingold, 19, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and armed criminal action. She is the owner of the searched car.

Metts, 22, was a passenger in the car and is on probation. He was arrested for probation and parole violation, possession of a controlled substance, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.
